Folk music has its roots in Danish agricultural culture, where folk musicians played for dancing. They were storytellers and, through their music, told tales of Denmark, of sorrow and joy, of holidays and celebrations. The music played today is primarily from the period 1730–1850.
The music is performed by a group of musical friends who perform in varying combinations and consist of:
Violin: Anders Løager, Helge Ramsing
Double bass: Jens Peder Knudsen
Guitar: Peter Smidt
Harmonica: Jørgen Nickelsen, Niels Hykkelbjerg, Vibeke Smidt, and Jan Ilsø
Free admission once the entrance fee has been paid.
Dates: July 13 and September 28, 2025. Both days from 2:00 p.m. to 3:30 p.m.
