Open Harbour in Hvide Sande

On Sunday, 4 July 2027, Hvide Sande Harbour opens its doors to the whole family for Åben Havn. Step aboard a shrimp trawler or a rescue boat, meet local fishermen and firefighters, and taste your way through the harbour's finest treats – and it's all free.

Once a year, Hvide Sande Harbour opens its doors to everyone who wants to experience maritime life up close. Open Harbour is a free family day, where the harbour comes alive from morning to afternoon.
During the day, visitors are welcome to go aboard different vessels and watch a traditional fish auction at the Auction Hall – one of the more authentic experiences the harbour has to offer. And you won't go home hungry: local Hvide Sande shrimps are served in new and creative ways, so there's plenty to taste and enjoy.
Open Harbour is free and open to all ages.
