In 2027, Easter falls early, and the season therefore runs from week 12 through week 43. If you are a practising artist and would like to share your art and practice during a two-week residency period, applications for 2027 are now open via the link below. Artists are selected with a focus on quality in their artistic work, an enthusiasm for engaging with visitors, and a diverse spread of both geography and artistic expression throughout the season.

The studio at Æ Gammel Havn 9 is open to visitors Saturday to Wednesday, 1–5 PM, where guests can meet the artists, experience their creative process and view exhibited works. Admission is free and everyone is welcome.

ART56° was established in 2016 to promote art and creative work on the West Coast of Denmark. The name refers to the 56th parallel, which passes through Hvide Sande at the tidal sluice – an expression of the broad perspective that characterises both the location and the representation of artists.
