The Story Behind Kr. Just's Tool Shed
Fisherman Niels Jensen Kristensen from Nr. Lyngvig had the tool shed built in the mid-1930s at Lyngvig Harbour.
In 1942–43, the shed was divided into four sections and sailed to Tyskerhavnen, where it was reassembled at its current location.
At Lyngvig Harbour, the shed had a thatched roof, but when it was moved, it was fitted with roof panels. The tool shed faces east/west — for practical reasons. Niels Jensen Kristensen didn’t wear a watch, but he knew that when the sun came through the west-facing door, it was time to hurry home — because that meant it was getting late.
