With her studio opposite the Holy Spirit Church in Hvide Sande, visual artist Ayoe Pløger has realized her dream of creating a place where she can work, show and sell her paintings, wood and bronze sculptures, and meet the people of the town.

Christian Estrup works from his studio at Tyskerhavnen in Hvide Sande, where he creates rusty, weather-beaten paintings, concrete artworks and sculptural pieces, and works with found maritime materials. His practice centres on transformation, and the raw beauty of transience and decay.

“It’s hard to separate the sea from me,” Jakob Gjerluff Ager says himself—and if you see his images, it’s not hard to understand why. His love of the sea, nature, and people shines through in the technically perfected photos that convey a very special aura of calm and connection.
