Jakob’s work spans a wide range. In the gallery, he sells nature prints from the coast he knows better than anyone. At the same time, he works as a freelance photographer with both local and international brands, producing photos and video for everything from magazines and social media to commercial campaigns. It might be a multi-day expedition in rugged wilderness, or a single studio production. Jakob adapts the team and budget to the assignment, and draws on a strong network of creatives and professionals when needed.
What ties it all together is a desire for authenticity. Jakob is involved from idea to execution, and his goal is the same no matter the job: to make the viewer forget the camera and get absorbed in the moment. That work most often happens close to real people and athletes—and close to nature.
In recent years, he has deliberately moved towards more sustainable productions and partners, and today he is an ambassador for the nonprofit organisation Empower Plastic and a member of 1% for the Planet.
