Laura's paintings are a love letter to the nature around Hvide Sande. With light, expressive brushstrokes, she captures the shifting moods of the coastal landscape – the beach, heathland, open plains – in an interplay of wildness and poetry. Her works balance between the recognizable and the abstract, where concrete motifs transform into currents, movements, and states captured in the moment.

— There's something special about the rawness and beauty of coastal nature that calls out to be painted. It's about capturing not just what you see, but also what you sense – the movement of the air, the quality of the light, the pulse of the sea, says Laura Windfeld-Høeberg.

As former director of Nordfyns Billedskole and an art educator, Laura brings both pedagogical insight and artistic talent to her works. Over the years, her expression has evolved from the figurative toward the increasingly expressive, where emotions and sensory impressions are given free rein.

Her talent has led her to exhibitions in both Paris and Barcelona, and she's a resident artist at Galleri Knægt in Bogense. Now visitors to Hvide Sande get the chance to meet her in the environment that inspires her art.

— When you take time to immerse yourself in a single painting, you discover both the visible nuances and the hidden layers. Art can open deeper layers within yourself, if you allow it, Laura says.
