At Lyngvig Lighthouse, both kids and adults can climb the 228 steps to the top of the lighthouse, step
out through the small door, and enjoy the stunning panoramic view of the North Sea, the
beautiful protected dune landscape, and Ringkøbing Fjord.
Lyngvig Lighthouse is Denmark’s newest lighthouse and is located on the scenic West Coast Route between Søndervig and Hvide Sande. The lighthouse was built in 1906 after a tragic shipwreck off the Jutland west coast, and it still casts its protective beam across the dune landscape.
Take a walk to the beach and let the kids’ imagination run wild on the large, maritime-inspired nature playground. In the lighthouse keeper’s house, you can take a break in the cosy café and treat yourselves in the well-stocked shop.

From April to October, adventurous souls can try rappelling from the top of Lyngvig Lighthouse every Wednesday—guided by professional instructors.
